The Safe Sex Community is being created as a welcoming online space where people can learn about sexual health, ask questions, exchange information, participate in discussions and help one another make safer and better-informed decisions.
Our goal is simple: Education. Protection. Community. Healthier tomorrows. Why We Created The Safe Sex Community Sexual health involves much more than simply preventing an infection.
The World Health Organization describes sexual health as encompassing physical, emotional, mental and social well-being related to sexuality and emphasizes the importance of a positive and respectful approach to sexuality and relationships.
Access to good-quality information is an important part of achieving sexual health. That philosophy closely reflects what we want The Safe Sex Community to represent.
People deserve a place where sexual health can be discussed openly and responsibly without embarrassment or unnecessary stigma. Knowledge can empower people to protect themselves and their partners. Learn. Education is at the heart of our community.
The Safe Sex Community will provide opportunities to learn and discuss subjects such as:

Common sexual-health myths and misconceptions New sexual-health research and educational resources
Questions people may otherwise feel uncomfortable asking These aren't insignificant topics.
The CDC notes that many STIs can occur without noticeable symptoms and identifies testing as an important part of protecting sexual health. It also recommends correctly and consistently using condoms as one strategy for reducing STI risk.
Share. Sometimes one person's question is something thousands of other people have wondered about. The Safe Sex Community is intended to encourage respectful discussion where members can share information, participate in polls, comment on educational topics, discuss experiences and discover resources.
We want to help make conversations about sexual health normal conversations about health. There should be no shame in wanting to learn.
